SEF are delighted to announce that the producers of our exceptional Colombian Garden Roses, Alexandra Farms, will be here for 1 day only on Sunday 22nd April 2012.

The team at Alexandra Farms have flown in all the way from Colombian and are visiting just 4 wholesalers in the whole of the UK to show case their amazing flowers and answer any of your questions.

The day will start with doors opening at 12pm.

At 2pm we are lucky enough to have International Designer Sarah Horne coming to demonstrate with the fabulous samples of Garden Rose and Spray Roses. You are guaranteed to be filled with ideas and inspiration.

Chrysal UK will also be here to support our event and give product information and advice on their world renowned flower foods.

Our opening times for the Easter Break are as follows:

FRIDAY 6th APRIL – Closed

SATURDAY 7th APRIL – Open 7am – 1pm

SUNDAY 8th APRIL – Closed

MONDAY 9th APRIL – Closed

There are no flowers coming into us from Holland until Wednesday 11th April due to the bank holidays.

We ADORE this clip. Something nice to cheer us all up whilst we are all suffering with colds.

So the big countdown is on now for Valentine’s Day. With orders coming in thick and fast our thoughts are mainly concentrated on the quality control and care of the incoming products.

We are stocking flowers and foliage from across the globe  – Holland, Colombia, Ecuador, England and Italy to name a few.

We have over 18,500 Roses ordered to be coming into our unit overnight tonight and the team will be here from silly o’clock tomorrow morning to start the preparations. Chris will be leading the way and  personally checking every single stem of rose that comes in. Quality controlling, cutting and conditioning that amount of roses is no small task but that is what we pride ourselves on here at SEF. We treat our flowers like they are our babies.

Nick will also be double checking every single flower that goes onto our vans. All flowers will be, as normal, going to our customers in buckets and on feed so that when they are received in your shop they are in tip top condition and ready to start using straight away.

So as most of you will know our beloved Leigh is leaving us today to start her maternity leave.

She is a core part of our team and we will all miss her immensely while she is off.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish her and her partner all the very best for the future as she starts her new and exciting life with a little bundle of joy. It will be exciting to know whether she has a little boy or girl! Baby is due 10th March so we will keep you posted.

Lastly, thank you so much Leigh for all of the hard work and commitment you have given us over the years. SEF will not be the same without you.
